Research Opportunities
Admission into the Case MSTP program allows you to pursue research in most basic biomedical science Ph.D. programs at CWRU. Ph.D. programs available to MSTP students are listed below. You are not required to commit to a Ph.D. program when you apply. You will have three research rotations to help you choose a program and mentor, which should be accomplished by December of the second year in the program. Many faculty serve as Ph.D. mentors in more than one Ph.D. program.
Training in Biomedical Engineering (BME) can be obtained through the regular BME program or the Physicial Engineer Training Program (PETP). While the regular BME program includes research topics in all areas of BME, the PETP emphasizes research in applied biomedical engineering topics and includes curriculum options to facilitate training in this area. If you are not sure which BME program is best for you, consult the PETP website or contact Dr. Roger Marchant .
A link to each department and program is included below. Follow these to read about potential mentors. You can request to meet with specific faculty during your interview. To get more information on any program, feel free to email current students .
